Our Team – Milton Site

Kimberley McIntosh

Midwifery is my calling and I am privileged to support families in our community. I love supporting pregnant people, and their families, through pregnancy, birth, and the early weeks postpartum. Informed choice, home visits, and the transformation that occurs during this time are some of my favourite parts of my work. I am also passionate about infant feeding and helping families find their confidence in parenting. I have a BA in Anthropology and attended Ryerson University for my midwifery degree.

When not practicing, I am usually with my three kids or dreaming of adventures with my partner. I also dabble in crafts, enjoy reading, and am very slowly learning home renovation skills.

I am so excited to be working here at Community Midwives of Halton! I’ve called the wonderful city of Oakville home since graduating from the McMaster University Midwifery Education Program, but I am originally from the Niagara region.

My love for women’s health brought me to midwifery, and the relationships I get to build with my clients continues to drive me. I am so honoured to have the opportunity to see so many families grow, and to be part of the journey with them.

When I’m not in clinic or catching babies, I am likely snuggling with my dog and/or working on a new crochet project!

I am so happy to be serving the families of the Halton area. I was born and raised in Milton and feel a strong sense of connection to this community. After completing my Bachelor of Health Sciences in Midwifery at McMaster University, I worked in Cambridge, ON. I am grateful to return home to CMOH. When I am not catching babies, I am assisting with the McMaster Midwifery Education Program or researching cultural competency for health care providers. In my spare time I can be found hiking one of the many beautiful conservation areas Halton has to offer or snuggling with my cat, Leon.
